My Honest Ballerina Farm Review
You know it’s a great day when fresh bread is rising on the counter, the kiddos are helping mix dough, simple ingredients, and meals shared around the table. Those are the kinds of moments I find myself coming back to again and again. I’ve seen a few people try out products from Ballerina Farm, and I’ve been curious whether the products would live up to the beautiful photos and thoughtful brand behind them.
I'm still new to using many of Ballerina Farm’s products, so rather than claiming I've tested everything, I wanted to share my honest first impressions and continue updating this review as I spend more time with the brand.
Ballerina Farm Organic Farm Flour Review
As someone who develops recipes regularly, flour is one of the ingredients I pay the closest attention to. The first product I wanted to try was the Organic Farm Flour, and so far, I've been really impressed. I DO love the higher protein content in the flour, which can contribute to stronger gluten development and great structure in breads and bagels.
One of the first recipes I tested was a batch of same-day bagels, and they turned out beautifully with a chewy interior, a lovely crust, and great texture. Of course, one successful bake isn't enough for me to make sweeping conclusions. I'll continue testing this flour in everything from my focaccia and sourdough and pastries before deciding whether it becomes a permanent staple in my pantry. So far, I would say, it's off to a promising start.
Farmer Hydration Electrolytes Review
This one may actually be my favorite item I’ve tried so far. The Farmer Hydration has quickly been a part of my morning routine. They sent me the variety pack and I fell in love with the Grapefruit Ginger one. The flavor is exactly what I was hoping for fresh, clean, lightly citrusy, and not overly sweet.
I've been reaching for it first thing in the morning and after long walks in the Hawaiʻi heat. It also has 210 mg of sodium per serving, which fits well into my personal routine. Because I have one healthy kidney, I try to be mindful of my overall sodium intake. Everyone's health needs are different, though, so if you have kidney disease, only one kidney, high blood pressure, or another medical condition, it's always best to talk with your healthcare provider about what's appropriate for you.
I'm also planning to pack a few individual servings for long travel days and international flights, when staying hydrated can be a little more challenging.

Farmer Jerky Review
Our family also recently tried the new Farmer Jerky, and it's another product I can see us keeping on hand for travel. The flavor is simple and well balanced. The garlic and rosemary add plenty of flavor without overpowering the beef, which I really like since some jerkies can taste heavily seasoned or overly smoky.
Because it's made from air-dried steak slices, the texture is a little chewier than the jerky I'm used to, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Each serving contains 16 grams of protein and 90 calories, making it an easy snack to throw into a backpack, beach bag, or carry-on for family adventures.
Shipping to Hawaiʻi
Living in Hawaiʻi always makes shipping a little different. My order took longer than expected because of shipping regulations affecting some products, but everything still arrived in good condition and within a reasonable amount of time. One thing I haven't been able to try yet is Ballerina Farm's fresh meats and refrigerated products. Unfortunately, shipping those items to Hawaiʻi is currently more expensive than I'd personally like to spend. I'd absolutely love to try them someday if shipping becomes more affordable. In the meantime, I also believe it's important to support local farmers whenever possible. Buying locally has always been something that's important to our family, and I'm grateful to have access to incredible farms here in Hawaiʻi.
Is Ballerina Farm Worth It?
So far, I've pretty much enjoyed everything I've tried. The Organic Farm Flour has been wonderful for baking, the Farmer Hydration Electrolytes have become part of my daily routine, and the Farmer Jerky has earned a spot in our travel snack bag.
Since I'm still getting to know the brand, I'll continue updating this review as I bake more recipes, try additional pantry products, and hopefully experience more of what Ballerina Farm has to offer. For now, my first impression has been a very positive one.
