A Clean Home with Branch Basics
Back in 2020, I got my hands on the Branch Basics Starter Kit and Oxygen Boost, and it’s a nice addition to our non-toxic cleaning routine. Side notes, how has it been 6 years since 2020? The Branch Basics Concentrate is lovely! It works on a variety of surfaces and cleans effectively without any harsh chemicals. I love that a little goes a long way, so the refills last forever. So, how does Branch Basics work? It’s super simple! You take your spray bottle and fill it with water up to the line. I use our Japanese Water Ionizer, but distilled water works great too. Next, you add the concentrate to the concentrate line and then top it off with more water. Remember, a little goes a long way … That refill really lasts!
What I really appreciate is how gentle yet powerful it is. No nasty strong odors or sticky residue left behind—just a fresh, clean scent that’s not overpowering at all. It’s safe enough for my kiddos to help out around the house! They love getting involved, and I love knowing they’re cleaning with something non-toxic.
Now, let’s talk about the cons of this review. While I really like Branch Basics as a non-toxic all-purpose cleaner, I did have a bit of a struggle with them for laundry. I didn’t feel like our clothes were getting truly clean. Living here in *hot humid* Hawai’i, we need something natural yet strong enough to clean. And doesn’t make our clothes smell like mildew.
So, the multi-purpose cleaner? Yes! Laundry detergent is a no for me.
